Buyer Beware!!
January 1, 2011 by Anonomous Aquarist

Almost every fish we have purchased here has died, very disappointing! Most of them were cheaper less expensive fish, but I purchased a gold headed goby from here that died within two days. I informed the staff of what was happening and they told me that they will not guarantee the life of the fish, unless the fish is held in their store after purchase. I was also told that it was probably our water levels or other fish in the tank that caused them to die, but I had the store test our water prior to purchase. I also tested the water levels every day and had 2 different fish stores test the water as well, each time with the water coming back within normal ranges. Poor customer service, poor fish quality, and high prices will have me avoid this store for anything but water, and I recommend the same for anyone who is starting out with a saltwater aquarium. I wish there was another local place that sold purified ocean water because if so I would never set foot in this store again.

Fish always die
June 6, 2010 by Anonomous Aquarist

I originally purchased my fish tank and setup equipment from them. In the 6 years since setting up my tank any fish I have purchased from here have died within a week or two. They don't guarantee their fish to live for 7 days like other places. I've purchased several fish from petsmart and they always outlived those from this store. I have 3 silver dollars that are now about 5 years old and a 3 year old placostmas. Everything I've purchased from this store died either the first week or a couple of weeks later. I no longer waist my money to purchase from them.

I'll be back
November 8, 2009 by Anonomous Aquarist

By far the biggest fish store I've ever been in. I disagree with the above comment about lack of selection. I was able to find two species I have not seen elsewhere: the bumblebee goby and discus. They had both of these although not the best variety; still impressive. The only negative was being asked if I needed help 4 times by two employees. I think like all the other fish stores these guys are in trouble.

Their saltwater selection is good, but I would say their freshwater is almost as good. Besides just fish, you will find almost all the supplies you could hope for (except no pressurized CO2 stuff). As far as tank accessories (decor and the essential) you'll likely see things you've previously had to fo online for. They do have a lot of large freshwater fish for sale too--probably outgrew their owners' tanks. So if you are looking for a reasonably priced and already-grown oscar, pacu, plecostamus, angel, etc. this is a great store. Very large plecos (12 inchers and bigger) were only $20.

A paradise among fish stores
February 27, 2009 by UREEF1

This store is great! It has practically everything. Freshwater / Saltwater / Brackish. The building is a VERY large two story, and even with the store packed full its still not even using all the floor space on the first floor. I think the second floor is just for office and storage right now. But the tanks are HUGE! The freshwater selection isn't that amazing, but the fish they do have are very healthy. Mostly cichlids and larger fish. Some impressive big fish on the back wall. Saltwater is really where they excell. They have a gigantic coral tank (probably 6' x6'). There is also a show tank in the back corner (approx 1500 gal), featuring animals like blue spot sting rays, reef sharks, dragon moray eels, etc. This place has a nice selection of exotics. The quantity is low, but they will special order anything you need. They will also service your tank at home for a fee. Supplies are abundant, and the staff is very knowledgable. Some of the guys behind the counter may have a ruff exterior, but they're all sweet fish loving softies. lol.
